On this special occasion of his daughters birth Rahul wanted to be with his wife Athiya. Due to this he was given leave from Delhi Capitals first match. Delhi played their first match on March 24 but Rahul returned home a day before to spend time with his wife and newborn daughter.

Rahul is now ready to return to the field. According to a report by The Times of India he will play in Delhi Capitals second match. Delhi will face Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 30 in Visakhapatnam. Rahuls return could strengthen the team as Delhis first match was a tough contest.
