Last year’s runner-up Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) is starting its campaign in IPL 2025 with the aim of going one step ahead this time. SRH’s first match will be against Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Sunday.
Last season, SRH surprised the opposition teams with its strong batting. The team crossed the 250-run mark thrice. Especially the pair of Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head made an IPL record by scoring 125 runs in the powerplay against Delhi Capitals. This time Ishan Kishan has been added to the team to make SRH’s batting even more lethal. This lineup looks very dangerous with Head, Abhishek, Nitish Kumar Reddy and Heinrich Klaasen.
However, SRH’s new bowling attack this time will be worth watching. Mohammed Shami and Harshal Patel, along with captain Pat Cummins, will give edge to the pace attack. At the same time, Rahul Chahar and Adam Zampa will play an important role in the spin department.
