The former Australian captain has given his opinion about MS Dhoni. He said that look you will not debate about CSK they are one of the most successful teams in IPL history. There is a lot of discussion about Dhoni’s batting order. I think his role has diminished a bit in the last few years he just comes for the last 10-12 balls and tries to make a big impact but Dhoni is still dangerous in the IPL.
Apart from this Ponting was also questioned about Dhoni’s retirement. In response to this he said that it depends on how the 2025 season goes for him and the team. If he manages to make a real impact with the bat then I think he will continue to play. If his batting is not good then he can start thinking about it.
