In response to Lucknows 171 runs the batsmen of Punjab Kings performed brilliantly. Punjab opener Prabhsimran Singh played a blistering innings of 69 runs in 34 balls which made it easy for the team to win. Punjab won the match by scoring 172 runs for the loss of just 2 wickets.
Prabhsimran Singh became the Player of the Match
In this match Prabhsimran Singh was given the Player of the Match award for his excellent batting. Apart from this Shreyas Iyer scored an unbeaten 52 while Nehal Wadhera played a brilliant innings of 43 runs and he also returned unbeaten. With this win Punjab strengthened its position in the points table.
